Asana App Review

Reviews

Asana is a task and project management service with a native mobile app and browser extension. It features a Kanban-style workflow for managing tasks and projects and offers a Pro tier with more features.

Asana was launched in 2009 by Facebook co-founder Dustin Moskovitz and Justin Rosenstein, a former product designer for Facebook and Google, who wanted a tool that would make it easy for teams to collaborate and stay organized. The company was created as a project management service for Facebook and Instagram. It was first launched for Facebook and Instagram employees and then released to the public in October 2012.

In November 2013, Asana released a Pro tier, which offers more features for teams with more than 25 members.

Asana was the first company to use Facebook’s Open Graph APIs, which enabled users to share tasks to Facebook, Twitter, FourSquare, and Google+ and view tasks on their mobile devices.

The company is headquartered in San Francisco, California.

Asana mobile app usability

Asana is an online task management system that allows teams to collaborate and manage daily work. It helps develop an organizational culture, which values accountability and transparency.

The mobile app allows users to view their projects, set deadlines, share feedback, and reach out to team members. Asana is also useful for finding tasks to complete, organizing workloads, and viewing progress. The app provides users with a more convenient way to stay organized. It also allows them to update their own tasks without having to log into the website.

Users have the ability to set reminders that notify them of deadlines, which is useful for those who are forgetful or who have a hard time being on top of deadlines. It also allows users to attach files, images, videos, and PDFs to their tasks. The app also provides a Gmail-like functionality, which allows team members to communicate about tasks.

The Asana mobile app provides users with a more convenient way to stay organized and reach their goals.

It is helpful for those who are forgetful and have a hard time staying on top of deadlines. The alerts and reminders are also beneficial for those who tend to forget important dates.

The app is otherwise very similar to the website and is a more convenient way to access the app if the user wants to stay on top of their tasks.

Asana FAQ

Asana FAQ

  • How do I reactivate a deactivated user?

Afer you have deprovisioned someone from your Organization, a Private Project containing their previously assigned Tasks will be created for you.

If this hasn’t happened and you have some further questions reach out to Support.

  • I already have an account, why am I stuck on the account creation screen?

When someone invites you to join their team using another email address than the one already added to your Asana account, you’ll see a new creation screen and may be prompted to create new Teams. To resolve this, log in to your existing account using a different browser or incognito window and add the new email address from there. This will allow you to access the Team you’ve been invited to using your own account.

Alternatively, click Continue underneath the Teams creation menu, and continue into your new account. You can then merge this account with your existing one. After you merge your accounts, you will be able to log in to one account with either email address and be able to access all the Organizations and Workspaces that you are a part of.

If you usually use Google SSO to log in or are having issues, contact our support team for further steps.

  • Why am I appearing as a Private User?

If two people are seeing each other as a “Private User”, they are both Guests.

Guests have limited access within the Workspace or Organization they’re invited to, and can only see what is explicitly shared with them.

Can Guests see each other’s names?

In order for Guests to see one another’s names, they must be Members of at least one project together. Just add both Guests as Members to the same project and they will then be able to see each other’s names.

  • What do I do when I leave my company?

    1. Add a non-company-affiliated email address to your account so that you do not lose access to Asana.
    2. Reassign your tasks to people who should take over your work. Use multi-select to reassign your tasks in bulk.
    3. If you are the Billing Owner for a Premium OrganizationTeam, or Workspacereassign that responsibility.
    4. If you are the Administrator for a Premium Organization, make sure there are other Administrators.
    5. Consider deleting your private tasks or making them public.
    6. Leave your company’s Organization or Workspace. For the former, it is likely an Administrator will deprovision you.

    • I love the mobile app!! Asana is awesome for a personal task manager tool. I would have rated it higher, but inexplicable the mobile app does not let you change the calendar start date to Monday, nor does the app let you prioritize tasks within the same due date.

    • Have been using this app for almost a year now. This made me forget other chat applications for getting work done amongst teammates.👏

    • Love love love Asana! Both the desktop and mobile version are great. Would highly recommend, I’m highly addicted to using it both at work and for myself.

    • By far my favorite task app.

    • People this is an incredible usefell app. In a business where communication is difficult in the sense of just too much information and tasks which are not listed will give you the oppurtunity too brain storm any time and it is an incredible way too inform your employer on your work load because it is now officially documented. You can attach info and also add sub tasks.

    • The Asana app is a great way to stay on top of your work tasks. I think it’s the best way to keep track of many different tasks. If I’m in a meeting, I can easily log it with the mobile app without having to wait until I’m back at my computer. I find that it’s less distracting because I’m only able to view my tasks and it’s great that I can do it from my phone. It also syncs with my desktop, so I can always get the most up-to-date information. The app is easy to use, and I like that it divides tasks into different categories so I’m not overwhelmed. Overall, I think the Asana app is great and I recommend it to anyone who wants to stay organized.

    • I am a fan of Asana because it helps me me keep my tasks organized in one place and is easy for my team to collaborate. I’ve been using Asana for the past 3 years, and I would say that the only downside to it is that it can be time-consuming to toggle through different approaches to prioritize certain tasks.

    • Asana app is a great way for people to work together. This app is available for free on the app store and can be downloaded onto your phone. Asana is also used by a lot of startups. It’s easy to use and designed with smart people in mind. It’s great for managing tasks and projects. You can also use the app to sync with your computer to update the workflow, and this is a great tool for teams. This app is great for people who are always on the go.

    • I see this app as a good way to track my to-dos and stay on top of my work. It lets me organize my projects and tasks with my teams into dashboards so I can see what everyone is working on. The app is great because it integrates with my calendar to make sure I don’t miss any deadlines. It also has a nice feature for viewing checklists and my to-dos, which helps me stay on top of my tasks.

    • Asana is a great app for managing tasks. The interface is simple and easy to use. I would recommend this app for any business owner or person who needs a easy way to manage their tasks.
